The La Sal Mountain Lodge is located on the southeastern slope of The La Sal Mountains (just 30 minutes southeast of Moab). A hidden alpine wonder, providing breathtaking scenery, spectacular views, and affordable lodging for couples, reunions, groups, or retreats. A Most Fascinating and Beautiful Place Venture out from Moab around to the Colorado side of the La Sal Mountains, 14 miles from Utah Highway 191 on Utah Route 46, to discover the untrammeled side of the La Sal Mountains and a lodging company and animal sanctuary engulfed in abundant peace and quiet that defies definition. It is, all at once, a lodge, rental cabins, a massage therapy center, and an animal sanctuary. A most fascinating and beautiful place indeed. The Animal Sanctuary and Healing center is a comprehensive center that includes healing for people, animals, and the land. The Animal Sanctuary component is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to helping injured, special needs, abandoned and unwanted animals. We provide love, shelter, and care for 'all animals under the sun'. The Animal Sanctuary and Healing center is an integrated center of Healing. We believe in looking at the totality of life. The plants, the animals, the land and the humans are inseparable. What befalls one effects the other. We hold that we are here to learn with all life through the spirit that is manifest upon the earth. We believe that true deep healing arises out of the knowledge of this integration. All those visiting the center and staying in the lodgings are invited to participate in all or any of the components of the center, be it Shamanic Work, Plant Medicine, Animal Healing through contact, Lomi Lomi Massage, and one on one or group healing. What sets this Animal Sanctuary apart is our willingness to accept and take care of special needs animals, most of whom would be put to sleep otherwise. In addition to providing homes for neglected and abandoned animals, it also provides homes for some of the more severely handicapped animals that many sanctuaries are just not willing or equipped to deal with. In caring for these animals we not only give them life but a quality of life that is filled with love. It is amazing and gratifying to watch the spirits and bodies of these animals blossom as the right environment is provided for them. It is equally amazing to witness the healing that these animals, in turn, provide for some of the people that come through the center. These animals often, just by their being and through their stories, open a sense of hope for people. These animals are living examples of thriving against the odds and in this way, can lead injured human souls out of their own despair. The animals that find their way to this Animal Sanctuary, are nurtured, brought back to health, and in turn put up for adoption if and when possible. The others that are too handicapped or sick to be let out, remain at the sanctuary under close loving care. Tours and Volunteering: We offer tours and volunteer opportunities to work with the animals at the center. For further information please connect with us before your arrival, or speak with us when you are here. You will love this place!

Vacationers may also prefer the many fine area restaurants, shops, and tours in and around Moab, Monticello, and Blanding, Utah.

Bed & Breakfast in La Sal, UT
7.9 miles from Dark Canyon Lake
Our Lodge is the perfect place to come home to, especially after a long day of driving, hiking or sight seeing. We are 36 miles outside of Moab, and it is well worth the drive to stay with us. Our beautiful mountain property is cozy, quiet and peaceful, a definite contrast to the busy and crowded town of Moab. The mountain views, sunrises and sunsets here are breath taking. Our place is very cozy, clean and comfortable. This room is perfect for an individual, a couple traveling together, or a small family. The room and bathroom are private. The common areas, such as kitchen, living and dining rooms are all shared with other guests. We are right next to the beautiful La Sal Mountains. We are a 40-45 minute drive to the National Parks: Arches and Canyonlands, Canyon Rim, Mountain Lakes, a couple hours fromTelluride, Ridgeway and Ouray etc... We are within 2 hrs of all recreational areas in the 4 corner states. About our property: We are a healing center and we do provide healing services such as Shamanic Work, Plant Medicine, Animal Healing, and much more. The Pack Creek Road House is one of the most beautifully redone cabins that Moab has to offer. Located in Pack Creek, about 20 minutes from downtown Moab, you’ll feel refreshed from the mountain air at the base of the La Sal mountains. This 2 bedroom 2 bath cabin has views of the mountains in nearly every room thanks to the big windows. *Please note that due to safety concerns the fireplace is not available for guest use. There is a great standing fire pit on the back patio for guest use. The famous Abbey Cabin is just a couple of steps outside of the home, giving the Roadhouse a total of 3 bedrooms. This is the site where Edward Abbey wrote several of his pieces. Now fully remodeled, it serves as an additional sleeping area with a new queen sleeper sofa. You’re going to want this kitchen in your own home! It’s bright and airy, has a farmhouse sink, wood countertops, a great window, and cute light fixtures. It has all the supplies necessary to make a large meal. The dining area and living room are combined. You’ll want to sit all day looking at your views and admiring the intricacies this home has to offer, like the beautiful wood ceiling, furniture, and so much more. If you want to connect back to the world, then you will be happy to have a Smart TV and wifi. Cell reception is a little dodgy out at Pack Creek. Both bedrooms have queen size beds and will serve as perfect retreats after a day of swimming at the community pool (traditionally open Memorial day through Sept. but subject to change) will help you cool off in summer and fall., dipping in the hot tub or detoxing in the sauna-- you’ll be ready to hike miles after the sauna! Soak up some sun in the hammock on the back deck, or enjoy the scenery while barbequing on the propane grill. There is quite a bit of wildlife out at Pack Creek including adorable goats. Please note that there is no trailer parking at this unit as it on the main road. Trailers must be parked in the designated area for Pack Creek Ranch: the Boneyard. No pets are allowed in this unit. With 3 bedrooms, 2-1/2 bathrooms, you’ll find it ideal for a family vacation, group retreat, or romantic get-away for two. The absence of telephone and TV ensures you’ll have uninterrupted time, even as you remain in touch via high-speed internet. The living area features a native cobblestone wall with integral fireplace, a library wall and a view of the apple orchard. A large dining area connects to the fully equipped kitchen including a washer/dryer, and a half bath is located off the kitchen. The charming master suite has a king bed and old-fashioned claw foot bathtub; two other bedrooms have two queen beds each and share a hall bath with full tub/shower. Two daybeds under the dining window provide additional sleeping/seating. The back patio has a gas grill for cookouts and beautiful views of the mountains. And you won't find a better location in Pack Creek; this prime cabin is the closest unit to the large community swimming pool (traditionally open Memorial day through Sept. but subject to change), and shared hot tub and sauna. No pets are allowed in this unit. Cancellations will result in a minimum $45 cancellation fee. Cancellations within 14 days of arrival carry up to a 50% cancellation fee, and cancellations within 2 days of arrival carry up to a 100% cancellation fee. Pricing for your vacation rental is determined on a number of factors, including length of stay and party size. Please be sure to submit an accurate party size so that we can generate the correct quote, and so we can make sure you are properly accommodated during your stay. You will need to continue to the booking area, and input your party size, in order to receive an accurate quote.
